AIMS has joined hands with the Computer Science of the University of Science and Technology of China to embark on a new chapter of deepening industry-university-research cooperation

On the afternoon of December 12, 2022, AIMS TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. (AIMS) and the Computer Science and Technology of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC ) held a signing ceremony for industry-university-research cooperation at the Global No.1 Roadshow Center of Zhong An Chuangu in Hefei. Li Xiangyang, the executive dean of the College of Computer Science and Technology at the University of Science and Technology of China, along with teachers Song Qi, Hou Jiahui, Guo Xing, and specially-appointed Associate researcher Yan Yubo, as well as students, Zhong Zhimin, the chairman and general manager of AIMS, Liu Wei, Chen Bo, Chu Xibao, the vice general managers, Zhang Huiwen, the industry director, and relevant technical backbones attended this ceremony.

At the ceremony, Chairman Zhong Zhimin first expressed a warm welcome to the delegation from the College of Computer Science and Technology at the University of Science and Technology of China. He hoped that through the cooperation between industry, academia, and research, cooperation and complementarity could be deeply explored. The AIMS would do its best to provide guarantees for the resources and applications of the cooperation between the two parties, and expressed sincere expectations for future technological innovation.

Professor Li Xiangyang expressed his heartfelt gratitude to AIMS. At the same time, he stated that he would lead the technical team to actively cooperate and communicate with AIMS in terms of technological research and development as well as personnel recruitment and training. He hoped to leverage his own strengths to promote the innovative development of both parties.

Subsequently, Chairman Zhong Zhimin and Professor Li Xiangyang jointly signed the industry university research cooperation agreement and the project research and development cooperation agreement. After signing the contract, both parties had in-depth and detailed discussions on the cooperation project.

AIMS, based on the established cooperation with the University of Science and Technology of China, will specially invite Professor Li Xiangyang and his technical team to provide technical development direction planning and guidance for AIMS. They will carry out industry-university-research cooperation from multiple dimensions. Both parties will jointly utilize their respective advantages and carry out comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in various forms, jointly promoting comprehensive technical, project, and talent cooperation between the enterprise and the college, forming mutual promotion and common development of professional and industrial fields, and striving to achieve "enterprise-academy cooperation and win-win academic-industry collaboration". 

About the College of Computer Science and Technology of the University of Science and Technology of China

The University of Science and Technology of China is one of the earliest institutions in China to offer computer-related courses. The College of Computer Science and Technology of the University of Science and Technology of China evolved from the computer major established in 1958 when the university was founded, and was officially established in 2009. In 1995, China's first national high-performance computing center was established. In 2020, in multiple university computer discipline evaluation rankings with significant global influence, the computer discipline of the University of Science and Technology of China ranked among the top 100 globally, and was ranked 25th globally (6th in China mainland). The school currently has approximately 100 faculty members and has formed an academic team with Academician Chen Guoliang and Academician Sun Ninghui as the core, consisting of more than 80 key personnel.
